kerekip, You might think I've lost the plot but it is not unusual to get 'Orange Rain' in the South of France - five / six times a year.
I hear tales ( but haven't seen it) that it also falls as snow on occasion.
The guilty party is the Sahara and the 'sand' which looks like mud after it has dried and is absolute hell to get off cars / boats and anything else you cherish!

Agenterre, we get that here in Bavaria as well sometimes. Saharan sand doesn't usually smell bad though
