Bar Mont Blanc in Vallandry at the bottom of the Grizzly lift (i think) quality bar maids (Amber, Aussie lass, oooooh) was quite busy when we were there 3 weeks ago, Jimmy's Bar, in Vallandry, apparently crazy Dutch apres ski and the Flying Squirrel, small but busy.
Not the best but better than staying down in Peisey, which was quiet, really quiet. Bar Mont Blanc, was alreet and very friendly.

b.dudman, Yep, Mont Blanc for general boisterous drinking but not to Austrian standards, good breakfast fry-ups. Flying Squirrel, good beer good company and good food. Jimmy's bar, quiet but nice, lots of chalet staff getting away from guests. It's not that far a walk straight up the Foret (?) green over to Arc 1800 where it gets much livelier . . . taking skis/boards will hasten the trip back . . . though a sled would probably be more controllable after a night on the piddle.

Flying Squirrel, will have the Rugby on and the Guinness is good.
Worth going to the L'Ancolie restaurant in Peissey, it's outstanding, must book. Home made terrines are exceptional.

I haven't been out yet this season (10 days and counting!) but last season the Shiva bar in Plan Peisey had a band on every second Wednesday. It's a big night out for the local french and the brits that live out there. On alternate weeks they have a DJ on, these nights are a bit hit and miss (tends to be house, drum and bass)
