Poster: A snowHead

In one of my Salamon Xwave boots, the plastic component that goes under the boot liner is breaking up. Is it possible to et a replacement?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Well, Lockwoods duly came up with the authorized Salamon component parts - which were larger in footprint, deeper, and more tilted to the front. I sent them back, with the item pictured above, and asked them to resupply. They checked with Salamon. What they had sent was what Salamon assure them are now the correct items. They can see the difference, too. I am concerned that the boot fit will be completely different. Am gong down to Lockwoods next week to get the fit sorted out, I hope.
Can't fault the Lockwoods support, they have tried hard, for a low-value item, and kept in touch.
I really don't want to buy new boots. My present ones are nicely tweaked to my feet, after a lot of trouble getting there.

You'll need to Register first of course.

achilles, What model/year X wave boot is this ? My xwave8's/2006 have a completely different footbed, it is narrow and lets my little toes feel the overhang - I had to pack the sole out to compensate.
