Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I asked them about how waterproof the tags are and whether it would work through snow.
Their reply:
Quote:

Thank you for your email. In answer to your question, the tag itself
currently is not waterproof, but we have had other customers who have
used the application successfully by putting the tag in to a sealed
plastic bag and this works just as well. They should not be affected by
the rain and are splash proof but are not made to withstand submersion
into a body of water so I would recommend the plastic bag option just to
be safe.

You will be pleased to know however, that we are currently developing a
waterproof casing for the tags which should be ready for sale on our
website in the early part of 2007 so keep checking back for details on
our website.

In regards to how the Loc8tor works, it will very much depend on your
location. The tags will certainly be picked up through a wall or an
obstruction but this will reduce the range. In terms of locating the tag
under snow or ice, again this will depend on how deep the tag is buried.
How successful the Loc8tor will be for finding items will very much
depend on your location.

Tomsk, "“After spending 7hrs trying to find my missing £400 cat I bought your product - its wonderful.” Adrian - Stroud "

Hmm, spend less money on cats and have less kit would be the moral of that story.

David Murdoch - interestingly the endorsement speaks neither for the ability of the person to find a cat - nor for the product's ability to help him find one.

Let's face it, you don't "own" a cat anyway. They're always just staying with you pending a better offer...

Use Loc8tor to either search or set an invisible safety zone around your loved ones or valuables. If any of them move beyond the boundary you set, the vibrating alarm is activated and the item identified!
