Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Castleford Freestyle Coaching?

Has anyone been to the SNO!academy park event on a Thursday evening?

Is it any good?

I would like to have a good go at improving on jumps and rails etc. I have had one morning in a park in a resort and I survived but I would love to have some decent coaching and get more confident/proficient

If you have tried it would you recommend it?

cheers

I've been there fairly regularly for a couple of years now. Only ever little jumps out, however it's a really good place to get used to rails and boxes. Always a good variety out on the slopes, so fairly easy to get used to the smaller and easier stuff first before moving on to the narrower rails. Never had any coaching (not paid for anyway) when i've been. Normally other skiers there and just get chatting to them and they'll help you out for sure.

I'm away to Italy so won't be down this week or next but might make a trip over next month some time.

Get yourself down and enjoy it!!!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi Pumba

Thanks for the info. Are the people who go using park skis or anything special?

cheers

I started out on their rental skis, but soon got some twin tips. Most of the skiers on the park night will be on twins, but don't let that stop you getting started!

The ski's never stay shiny and new for long either, expect to have major damage to your ski's when you get into rails Laughing
