OK, so I might have left it a bit late...
But seriously, we're leaving for Aspen on saturday. We're out on friday night and packing tonight but I reckon I could get a half hour in here or there...
And then there's the 9 hours on the plane and the time in the security lines...
Any suggestions on how I can get fit?

OK, got the hammer.
Luckily it was a rubber mallet so it's just bleeding a lot and nothing cracked.
How will this get me fit - or did you think I meant in shape?
ah, thanks comprex, that's better.
LHR to Denver to Aspen.
arr Aspen Sat 7:40pm so I expect you to have a drink ready (with umbrella (oh, wait, this isn't Whistler is it?)) on Saturday my friend...
Have you seen the temperature - Denise said -20C. I'm going to need to dig out a long sleeved shirt.
You in a rush to get out on Sunday? - I wouldn't mind some advice selecting the right model rental ski 'cos I still don't know an Atomic from a K2 and god knows what they'll actually have when we get there.
No worries if you've got plans. PM me if you like.

All this "can I get ski fit in 2 weeks" or 48 hours malarky - is there not a drink or a pill or somesuch I cam take to become instantly ski fit?
What is the world coming to if this innovation has been missed?

I don't really think you have to be that fit to enjoy skiing anyway. So long as you're flexible enough to minimise risk of injuries and can manage without a smoke or beer for 10 minutes while gravity pulls you down the hill. After all, you have a short exercise time in which gravity does all the worj anyway, followed by sitting on your butt on a lift to take you back up the hill. I think this need to get ultra fit stems from the old days when there were no lifts and now it's just a macho thing
