Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi,I'm working away from home at the moment and seen a pair of skis in a sale! The shop have offered to fit the bindings for free which would be handy as i go away on holiday the day after i get home from this job and don't want to spend 1st day of hols hunting for somewhere to get bindings fitted!!
Only problem is my boots are miles away and i don't know the sole length and the shop said they need sole length not just my boot size is this right?

Anybody got a pair of these or work in a ski shop that could let me know the sole length please Smile

chaotic, welcome to snowHead!

Um, yes and no to your question - the boot size is pretty much useless, they need the sole length. Saying that, they really need the boot to make sure it fits properly. Having the sole length is a good start.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi, Thanks for the reply i wasn't sure about them fitting the bindings without the boots there but they say they do it often for internet orders although they did say i might need to get minor adjustments made after i actually try them with the boots!! This is the first time i've bought skis without having my boots there with me but i think i might have to beg one of the local shops to fit the bindings for me when i get home!! Smile
