Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A couple of Whistler questions if you please?

G'day all,
first time poster, long time reader. Hopefully i can tap into the wealth of knowledge you all possess and get your opinion and answers to the following. We are off to Whistler on the 21st of March, is that late in the season? Whats the likelihood of still getting fresh powder then? Our stay coincides with the Canadian Alpine Ski Championships, has anyone any idea how big this event is and how much of the mountain is likely to be closed and for what sort of hours each day? Thanks for any help.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I'm sure one of the Whistler sHs will have far more info but from memory basically the Dave Murray is closed for the duration of the racing. As to fresh snow I'd say its anyone's guess.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We went to Whistler for the first time around the 3rd April 2006 and, although a bit cr*p towards the bottom of the slopes there was plenty on the top half to keep us amused for 10 days - in fact it was so good we went back for another 10 days in December!

.....Having said that, past performance is not a reliable indication of future performance so who knows what April 2007 will bring.

I don't know about powder, but looking at snow depths: they have, on average 1.23 metre on the lower slopes and 2.74m on the upper slopes on that week. (Even more last year - 2m on lower and 3m on upper).
