Have been looking forward to this ski trip for ages but seems like there is no snow where I am going, Szklarska Poreba in Poland.
Bit of a blow as I have spent money on clothing for the wife and I and it looks like it is gonna be wasted.
Can anyone give me any hope as I cannot find any forcasts for this area.
I am wondering if there might be snow in the surrounding area as we will have a car to use.

Dunno how I am gonna get on with skiing, did go when I was at school which was 25 yrs ago and was very good at ice skating in my younger days, dunno if this is gonna help, also do roof tiling as a job, so not bad on the balance front.
Cant wait to get into it really.

I skied with a guy a few years back who regularly skied in Poland as his girlfriend was polish. He always stopped at her parents so could not comment on the accommodation. What he said about the skiing was it was good and worth going but a little behind the times a lot with the lifts and equipment. I cannot remember where it was he went.

Been checking that webcam everyday, thanks for looking though, as for equipment dunno if will matter to much for me now, but will do later, just hoping my missus likes it, then I might be able to talk her into going to french alps later on in season.

I would be the happiest to provide you with good news on snow in Eastern Europe, but sorry I can't.
Today we have had the warmest day in Hungary since they started to measure temperature. And it is the same in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
When are you going?
It would be worth checking the Czech slopes near Szklarska Poręba, they seem to be close, but the next 5-7 days seem to be mild here in the region ...

There was no snow at all, so just ended up going to castles and that, had a really bad storm while I was there though.
So looks like I will have to pay out to go skiing another time.

Yeah there is plenty more snow there now, but that always happens when you get back.
