Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Clusaz

Poster: A snowHead
Back today from La Clusaz after a very enjoyable week.

Plenty of snow whilst we were there but it doesn't last too long due to the warm temps and subsequent rain. Suposedly New Year week was shocking.

Balme and L'Aguille are in great condition. It is very patchy lower down but all still good fun. Some grass is showing but you can still ski over the brown bits.

You can always want more snow but we skied all day everyday. I've had better conditions but it was still a great holiday. It is certainly not all doom and gloom.

Off to Flaine on Saturday Smile

I'm going there in February, where did you stay? and how did you transfer from geneva? (I guess you went from there) / how much did the transfer cost? any tips?

Thanks.

buzz55, I'm just back from a few days there with Karibuni, www.karibuni.co.uk. They do the transfers from GVA for you, so all you have to sort is the flight. A really great team of people with a really cool ethos. Also ideally placed for you to be able to ski Grand Bornand which has some lovely terrain.

I stayed at the Aravis Alpine Retreat who have a fleet of 4 x 4's so pick you up at the airport. It is a picturesque little resort with some varied skiing.

Transfer would only take about 45 mins.
