Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi
Not sure if anyone can help me with this but thought it worth throwing it out to the floor... before I went away riding last year I found a fantastic Canadian website that offered comprehensive info about avalanches, how to avoid them and how to rescue victims.
What was particularly impressive was how it combined text, video, animation, and online exercises to form a very broad and deep (and scary) repository of knowledge on the subject.
Catch is: I didn't bookmark it and would like to refresh my knowledge before my trip this year. Anyone got any idea which website I'm talking about? The only other thing I can remember is that I think it was provided by an organisation based out of British Columbia.
Thanks
FN
PS: I'd like to point out I wouldn't consider going off-piste in dodgy conditions based solely on knowledge gained from a website but I do find the subject fascinating and want to learn more before going on a dedicated course.

not sure if this will help, but it is quite educational

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
