Poster: A snowHead

Do people rate instructional DVDs/Books?
any particular recommendations?
Obviously I know there's no real substitute to proper tuition and practice but I'm not made of money and my time is limited on the slopes as it is.

I got Phil Smith - Snoworks DVD, it is quite good granted - I'm not 100% sure how I'll fare on the slopes (ie. if it'll help at all) - but I shall see. Tobe honest, its probably better to just not buy any and save the money for even just 1 hour private lessons or something, I'm sure that would help far more.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have the Warren Smith DVD's as well, I think they are very very good. This guy is briljant at explaining stuff, I wish he could be my ski instructor.

Don't know what happend to my last post but it seems to have been lost??
I've skiied with Warren Smith at one of his Acadamys in the UK earlier this year.
He has just brought out a book (with accompanying DVD) called "Go Ski" and takes you through from the basics, to skiing steeps, powder and moguls. Only £9.99 too!
The All Mountain Skier is good too.
Both avaliable from all good book shops and Amazon.

Another recommendation for the Warren Smith DVDs. Both I and one of my mates have them and we both agree they're really good -- he explains things very well. Definitely worth the money.
