Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi everyone,

Great website very informative.

Im heading to Morzine Saturday with a couple a friends for my second ski trip and can't wait.

Been checking snow reports and web cams daily and it hasn't seem to be looking to good untill today??

Is anyone out there or been there recently that can give me a bit more of an insight as to what we can expect.

We are also looking to go over to Avoriaz if the conditions aren't good enough in morzine, any inofrmation on either would be grately appreciated.

James.

james_vrfc, welcome to Snowheads!

We had lunch in Morzine on the way to Geneva on Sunday after a day skiing in Avoriaz. The small amount open in Morzine didnt look very attractive so I hope there is a good snowfall before you get there.........

Avoriaz was busier than ideal but should be quieter by the time you get there, enjoy Smile

, Hellojames_vrfc,

We have had about 30 to 50 cms over the past couple of days, it has meant that most of the links between resorts will become open and the runs above 1600 ish metres are now very skiable. Below 1600 metres there was little or no base, except for some runs with manmade snow, until today. This skiing has largely been opened up but cover is still thin. Conditions on the whole have gone from dire to average for the time of year. Hope this helps.
