Hi All.. We're off to Soll on Sat morning and wondering if anyone has an update on current conditions? Mixed weather forecasts are showing snow or rain all week so would be good to know if anyone 'on the ground' can fill me in please (altho not literally... i'm ugly enough as it is!!  ).

Looks like a dusting of snow yesterday and today, followed by rain, sleet and modest snow in the second half of this week. Temps look set to rise again shortly.

i am going hopfgarten on the 6th also but most sites are saying rain/snow be nice to know what it is like there on the ground! as the soll webcams are not working again! but at least it looks better than last week!

As Soll wasn't even open when we left on the 23rd, I commiserated with the Neilsens Austria manager about the place. She said it was fine and they had been cannoning and conserving waht they had for the big weeks. There will be something to ski!

thatmanwoody, There are four of us off to Soll on Sunday, there's snow right thru to Sunday forecast on the six day prediction on snow-forecast at the top, with some rain lower down only mm tho.
I have emailed someone I know who lives in Soll hopefully he will update on piste conditions.

Checked the skiwelt webcams this morning and is looking slightly whiter out there. They're also reporting slightly better snow depths of 29-45cm, so looks like there must have been some fairly good snow after all!! Ian - enjoy your hol.. Bar Austria it is

Got back from Soll on 30th. We are a group of beginners and intermediates and for us there was plenty of snow - I wouldnt have known it was artificial if I didnt see the snow cannons going in the mornings. Since then they have had a good dump and more forecast. It was a fantastic holiday - went with Neilson and very impressed. Question is - where next?!

blytht - no that one wasn't opened but the (red?) one that goes virtually alongside the gondola - a straighter run- had just opened. But it does appear to be snowing long and hard now so presume by Feb the other would be open. We are tempted to go back just to do it - sounds good.

Heard back from Soll resident today. He reports that today the snow is great but visibility not too good. This should improve when the weather clears at the weekend just in time for us all arriving.
