After a couple of seasons use the liners in my boots (Nordica Beast 12) were no longer doing a good job of keeping my feet secure in the boots. Heel lift was an annoying problem which I countered by cranking up the boots, but this led to general discomfort and a fairly frequent burning pain underneath my forefoot. As the shells were still in good condition I decided to get replacement liners, either custom foamed or Zipfits. After reading and questions on snowHeads I decided that Zipfit liners were what I wanted and booked an appointment with CEM to get them fitted. I've now skied in them for about 10 days and I can't believe how good they are. The first three or four days were painful, initially very painful, as the liners continued to mold to my feet, but now they hold my feet incredibly tightly although without any single pressure point to cause me discomfort. Other than being able to wiggle my toes slightly there is no movement in the boot. It feels like I'm welded to my skis! To get that amount of hold with my previous liners I would have had to clip the boots to an incredibly painful level, more than likely too painful to ski, but with the Zipfits the shells are clipped up only finger-tight. If your boots are feeling a bit tired or have never given you the hold that you want for your feet it might be worthwhile thinking about new custom-liners rather than replacing the entire boot.
Quick thanks to CEM who did a good job of fitting the Zipfits, including saying that my existing custom footbeds were still doing a good job thereby passing up the opportunity to sell me another product. Good service all round!

rob@rar, If I could hi-jack your thread as my question is along a similar line.
I have had my boots for 5-6 weeks skiing over 2 years now. They are Technica rival-hf with hotform liners.
After this time do I need to get them reheated to be reformed to my feet?
I use to plug the lower temp adaptor in to dry them, but not used that for a good while.
If it would help to re form them, how would I go about doing it in the UK?
Thanks
