Hello
It turns out I can go away this Xmas but have nobody to go with. I have been frantically looking for a resort with some snow and if you look hard, there are still almost reasonable offers. Ideally I would love to join a group or another person ready to leave for snowy slopes this weekend. I am flexible about dates and modes of travel and as I have already booked one week in March, to get even long weekend now would be great. I am an intermediate skier.
It is probably completely mad idea, but I thought I would give it a try…

Looking at the webcams, Val Thorens looks pretty good... La Plagne has some decent snow too. In fact, anywhere much about 2000 seems to be in reasonable nick. There have been numerous threads on the subject of late, have a search on "snow AND conditions"

Thanks TallTone. I was even thinking of Cervinia/Zermatt or 3V... Oh well, if this does not work, there is always Val d'Isere in March for me and there should be enough snow by then.

why bother... the snow's not that great and whatever resorts that are ok will be stuffed. Personally I'd wait 3 weeks until the snow has fallen somewhat and then hitup a long weekend somewhere. I did 4 days in cervinia last year which was wicked...
