Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Welcome to snowHeads Crapfish! snowHead Great name and I'm sure there'll be lots of fishing opportunities Toofy Grin

I've only been there once as well so probably know it as well as you. We used to hang out quite a bit in the ice bar at the foot of the Penkenbahn in Mayrhofen, for apres-ski. Whereabouts are you staying?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've always wondered how many skis/boards get lost / stolen / mistakenly taken outside the Ice bar. All I recall is just a sea of skis and boards, and a bar load of paralytic revellers. Must go back to Mayrhofen some time.

andy, yeah - someone in our group had theirs stolen from there. As our hotel wasn't too far away we made the extra effort to put our skis back first!

Which one of the mountains did you like the best?

We stayed in krimml. It was probably the most beautiful small town austrian exprience we ever had. We stayed in a small pension (nothing special) but were able to really explore the area. we ate at the

Skiing at krimml, konigsleiten, and gerlos was a lot of fun. You could just ski down the mountains which were all interconnected. the only problem was a lot of these areas were within the tree line making the off-piste skiing not so great.

then, your best bet is skip the zillertal and head to either st anton or bad gastein if you can get there. Skiing is much better and the party scene is hopping.

Crapfish, welcome on board! snowHead

I've been the Zillertal once before and am going there again in the first week of Feb .... really looking forward to it. We're staying in Zell but up by the middle station of the Achterbahn.

The last time I was there, I was only a beginner so can't offer much in the way of advice for some extreme skiing i'm affraid. We just skied in the Zillertal Arena but theres load more skiing down the valley. As for extreme apres ski, i've heard Gerlos is good and i'm sure you can bus it back to Zell after. I've never tested it myself but it's on my to do list wink That said, Hippach's only down the road from Mayrhofen so you should be pretty sorted!!!!

Cheers
Kersh
