Poster: A snowHead

In the last 24 hours, Kaimaktsalan ski centre has 20 cm of fresh snow, Pisoderi 15 and Karpenissi about 10 cm. Snow is slowly falling down also in Parnassos and Elatochori.

oh good ol' Kaimaktsalan! Lived in northern Greece for a while and used to go to that place. It always seemed to have OK snow and a good view on a clear day....

I am going for Christmas... Never skied there before, so tell me - does it have anything outside the pisted areas? And is there really any challenge what so ever, or is more beginner-intermediate?

hmm, it's a while since I was there but I think from memory it's largely beginner and intermediate terrain. They do have a website, which might be worth looking at for more info. Outside the pisted areas - not sure. I would think not but I may be completely wrong.
Have you booked somewhere to stay? If not, I would recommend the little village which is about 5k down the road - can't remember the make of that either! useless! - as there is just the ski centre actually at Kaimaktsalan.
Hope that helps.

Thanks. We're bunch of Greeks, my Greek wife and me going. So, appartments etc. are all sorted nicely. The website of the area is crap in every language, but I hear positive stories from the area from by Greek friends.
