Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Plagne- Opens tomorrow on schedule 10-Dec-06

La Plagne will open as planned tomorrow December 10th.
This from www.La-Plagne.com
Very badly translated by Google, Interesting comment on the past 19yrs snow cover!
Quote:
Opening of the skiable field of Plagne Sunday December 10
As envisaged, as from Sunday you will be able to reach some tracks to put to you in legs at this beginning of season
For your greater pleasure, we open certain tracks and increase accessible since the stations from altitude, in particular FuniPlagne of Large Rochette, the chair-lift of Bécoin, the chair-lift of the Strainers, the chair-lift of the Colossi and many other apparatuses…

From Saturday December 16 the access will also be done since the stations villages (Champagny, Montchavin Stage coaches and Montalbert) and you will be able to go up to the glacier of Bellecôte (3250 m). Lastly, on December 23 the Paradiski field will open its doors to you.

Today, the height of snow on the ground is in conformity with the statements of 19 years December previous (note: confirmed by the nivologist). A good score of additional centimetres of snow fell into the night from Friday at Saturday and continue in the course of the day. The snow cover still improves!
We invite you to consult our bulletin snows daily bench on line of the solid mass of Plagne.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
60-70cm snow depth at altitude in La Plagne, and currently snowing quite hard (in Les Arcs at least). Based on conditions at Tignes, I'd guess that higher slopes in Paradiski are just about OK for snow depths, but it will be the lower slopes that have below average cover because it has been unseasonably mild in the last few weeks.

Great blog entry from PG who spent the day in La Plagne, and seems to have had the resort to himself. Details here.
