Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

graeme, I believe you can get silk skull caps - although I've never seen them!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have one of these, although I've never tried it as I've found my helmet plenty warm enough on its own.

graeme, "Red" do a nice skull cap, they've come down in price since they were first released. My old helmet didn't have any ventilation so I wanted a layer to keep the moisture levels down. I bought one of those nasty Ali-G style skull caps, it worked a treat for two season before I got a Giro with vents you can have open / closed.

It was great, it had "I love Jesus" all round the rim. I bought it from those horrible "ethnic" shops, the dude who sold it to me asked me if I wanted a bag or whether I'd just wear it... I was on Oxford Street at the time, so I took a bag. Wink

I loved wearing it in the lifts. I once even got asked if I was Jamie Pierre...

Holy thread resurrection, batman. Does anyone find the need for a liner, balaclava, or buff under their helmet? Either to help keep them warmer or as a layer to wick sweat away and prevent their helmet padding from becoming smelly?

I wear a buff under my lid…mostly to stop the wind whistling in my ears. Plus it’s comfy.
