Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Rossi Zenith Z1, Volkl AC2 or Rossi X-Flight 600 - Which ones to buy?

Hi folks,

First real post on the forum so please be gentle Little Angel

You probably get a lot of posts like this and some members may get annoyed with there frequency, but I have a dilemma...

I am a "new" intermediate skier (now in a level 6 (out of 7) class at my local ski school) and I am looking to purchase a new set of skis. My budget is up to £250 and 3 local ski shops in my area have recommended the following skis with associated bindings individually:

1. Rossi X-Flight 600 (£199)
2. Rossi Zenith Z1 (£239)
3. Volkl Unlimited AC2 (£249)

Now, I'm a careful creature when I come to spending money and want to make the right choice Puzzled of skis. I have researched the internet and most would agree that the skis above are "progressing intermediate" and good for carving on piste with limited off-piste capabilties (my main skiing will be on-piste), but some hint that these skis are for beginners.

I wonder if anyone can help me out here?

BTW: I have been using Salomon X-Wing 4 skis for regular skiing lessons recently and they feel good, but have found them hard to locate locally or on the web.

Cheers

Rik

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Out of those 3 choices I would say the Volkl AC2 would give you the most room to grow. You should also consider a more pure piste oriented ski like the Volkl S4 to develop your skills. All mountain mid-fat skis are a little harder to get on edge when learning.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
