Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Getting married on Skis - Canada or USA

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

Got engaged on the slopes of Courchevel last year, and now want to take this to its natural conclusion!

Anyone done this themselves, or any suggestions on resorts that might be geared up for this?

Just want a great holiday combined with a quiet little cermony. And then more skiing!

Thanks

ScottyDog

Cool idea. Might be worth looking at the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort in Nevada. Roughly 1hr from Vegas. I suspect they are well geared up to serving newlyweds. Feb is the peak of their ski season, when snow is most reliable. Let us know where you choose.

Congratulations scottydog! Should be a fab wedding - that's what I'd do, get married on the slopes (if I was going to, that is Toofy Grin )

scottydog, different states in the US have different laws for weddings. In Colorado, as long as you get a license, you can get married anywhere you want by whomever you want. People are often married on the slopes here, and Loveland does a special wedding day on Valentines Day every year and a number of couples marry during it.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Sorry to those who read this on another thread (and you may think this a bit tame) but our French guide, Zeb, and his wife Claire, got married in their mountain village in the Haute Maurienne 3 years ago. They (she in traditional white) and both sets of parents arrived at the church from up the mountain by paragliding (ie parachute) while other friends circled above ringing cow bells. For their Honeymoon they climbed Everest and paraglided off the top.
I am having visions of you taking your vows side by side at 100kph (I am being moderate here) on the Les Arcs flying kilometer, flanked by priest and best man, with parents, guests and waiters in tails with napkins, trays of glasses and champagne following in your wake, perhaps a very ancient relative or two being towed in blood wagons.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much
