Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kids gloves

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Like most 5 year olds mine gets very cold hands after an hour or two in the snow. She wore goretex mittens last year but was still miserable after an hour of ski kindergarden. I'm looking to solve the problem with mittens with pockets to pop in hand warmers. Do such gloves exist for kids? If so from which web site (we live on the Yorkshire moors so travelling to the shops isnt easy) Razz

A bit like bh1 we use liners inside the mits, although we have the stretchy one size fits all type.

HOWEVER, now she's five she should be gliding down the greens not hanging round the kindergardens. That should help her keep warmer too. snowHead

Rowley B QC, You will certainly need 2 pairs of mitts - even if they're gore-tex. For some reason kids just can't stop putting their hands in the snow and/or sucking their mitts! Shocked One pair for morning and a second for afternoon. Inners as already mentioned and 2 pairs of those. Very expensive, and the child will grow out of getting such wet hands. Little Angel

DB, I would have thought fleece would be fine. I find fleece warmer than silk on the hands.

Ray Zorro,

Thank you for the link - I did look but could only find gloves for 5-7 year olds and above which I think would be too big for my (only just) 4 year old. I'll keep looking!

vanderstel, oh, sorry, you are right, I thought they went younger than that Confused . However, it may be worth contacting them anyway, as they may be able to direct you, or even have some themselves but just not have them on their site.
