Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sickeningly happy with new boots ..but

Hi

I'm the proud owner of shiny new boots from the Snowheads boots clinic. Overall I'm sickenly happy with them but........

I've been 'consolidating my bad habits' on the local dry ski for Easiski to beat out of me in December and I've noticed something

When I flex forward my right knee goes forward but my left knee for want of a better expression rolls out only marginally but enough for me to notice it's happening and more noticably screw up to varying degrees my efforts at bringing the left ski round. I also notice now though didn't at Lockwoods that when I'm standing upright I feel as though I'm standing towards the outside edge of my left foot while my right foot feels perfectly flat........and further 'unbooted' analysis confirms the same with just socks on.

Years ago ( like 30) I used to regularly sprain left ankle and ever since it has occasionally 'collapsed' usually sorting itself out until the last time around 4 or 5 years year ago since when it's never been 'quite right' - not bad enough to impede daily life, occasiional mild swelling and an occasional 'awareness' of it rather than pain or discomfort.

I've never really noticed a problem on snow other than I turn better from left to right but am very 'right sided' in most things so put it down to that and fundamentally questionable ability and technique

I suppose it's about time I got to a question...

Do I
a) Go back to Lockwoods and ask them nicely to have a look
b) Wait until December, see what happens and hope something can be done to the boot to accommodate the dodgy ankle while I'm there
c) Try and fit in an appointment with CEM before I go?

Thankyou.
