Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best Prices?

The eternal quest continues. Missed out on the skis I'd been eyeing u pon Ebay, so I'm still looking. There are some more coming up but I thought it may be worth asking here.

Anyone know of any particulalry good ski deals at the moment? Back one the scgb site, someone mentioned that Twinner in Bourg St Maurice were doing salomon 1080s including binding for 299 euros, which works out at £201. Considering that skis alon go for £279 over here, that's a good price

so the question is, does anyone know of a similar deal that doesn;t require me to go to Bourg St Maurice, or is anyone goin out there and getting back here before 13th March (which is the date I'm off on my next trip - and I'd like new skis by then if I can afford anything Smile)

If whoever posted that figure above is on this site, can you confirm it etc?

Cheers

you could try www.Telemark-Pyrenees.com
alternatively, given the current dollar exchange rate, you might want to look at www.rei.com or www.gartsports.com

Alternatively, Salomon severely overproduced the 1080s this year, and you should be able to get a discount off them at most shops (even Slush & Rubble may do a deal on them)

Oh, and here's a link to twinner: http://www.twinner.zoomici.com/

cheers for that last link - saw those skis on ebay last week. 177 is too big though Sad

The other links are mor or less the same price as the UK (or the models on sale are too big). Being a shortsarse at 5'9" can have disadvantages Shock(

I'd be looking for 171 (this year's models) or 169 (older models)

Will check out the other links though

Anyone else?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

What about going for the 720 instead of the 1080 (if you only want Salomons)
They also got the production figures wrong for them, and are virtually giving them away free.

I wasn;t aware they were still doing the 720!

How do you get the prodcution figures? If there are that many floating around, how come Ive seen virtually no price reductions?
