SMALLZOOKEEPER, Well, I guess that if this is a sHs only offer then it can't be spam, if you're just spreading the advertising mustard to cater a larger party then spam it is and shamed you should be 
I've read back through a lot of the thoughts about selling on here (for purely selfish reasons as I'll be wanting to flog something to this lot myself in the future) and I've come to the following few thoughts:
1: personal stuff in "Buy & Sell" . . . no prob.
2: Subtle 'sigs' . . . about 90% ok
3: 'Shouty sigs' . . . even split
4: Broadcasting and eulogising your product/service above a 1:10 ratio earns you less than if you'd not bothered in the first place.
So here's an idea, if you've summat to flog that's not a personal possession, make the offer exclusively to sHs for a fixed period of your choosing (but say, no more than 14 days) and spam away, but after that just stick a link into Buy & Sell then shut up about it?
