Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The willingness of the New World vintners to go by grape variety has been a great boost for those on the nursery slopes of wine and its nice to see our good friends the French trying it out too Cool

A cheeky Sauvignon Blanc (Gooseberries), graced my palette last night from the 100 plus bottles in the cellar (but dropping rapidly).
I got 8 cases of mixed Chateau bottles through a loyalty scheme which cost about £1 per bottle. I've been working through them. Who is "Majestic"? I like the idea of online purchases.

I'm afraid you might be dissappointed Michael B, they deliver from their nearest shop and I suspect you Manxes are permantly caught by the delivery small print...

Alternative would be virgin wines - we tried them a couple of times - headline prices are a bit higher but they seemed to have a discount scheme almost as a matter of course.

Not only exiled from SCGB but also from many other services taken for granted by all you "mainlanders" (that's a dirty word over here as the locals think this is the mainland and England the adjacent Island) rolling eyes
Laithwaites are the suppliers for most of the other clubs etc and I'm already with them.

A fair old few bottles of Fleurie consumed last night in the fine company of some friends.

Laithwaites is the same organisation as the Sunday Times Wince Club, who're responsible for 50 odd bottles kicking around my place.

Anyone been to Vinopolis?

Vinopolis is a great way to start an evening in London - particularly if meeting up for drinks after not seeing people for a long time! Tell people you're having a cultural day at London's museums - then go to a wine museum and get p*****!
Buy the extra tasting tokens (I think you get 5 in the ticket price - but definitely get more!) I think its on Friday/Saturdays when they have premium tables - and you can try some v. expensive ones...
Fantastic start to the night, its all a bit of a blur afterwards...

Anyone else going to Confex?
