With some of the budget airlines charging extra for ski transport, this company might be worth considering. They'll tranpsort your stuff door to door using FedEx.
£35 to transport skis from UK -> France -> UK
Unfortunately no weekend pickups and drops

Its not new.
Used to do it for travel to the US especially for skis & boots. UPS, DHL & FedEx.

No I've not used them.
Found them by accident when looking at flights.
The lack of weekend pickups and drops is worrying as I wouldn't want to leave my skis unattended (or watched by hotel management etc) at the resort after I left.
