Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skiing in Slovakia?

Has anyone skiied anywhere in Slovakia - thinking of a March trip to see what it's like. Have heard it's stunning scenery and good snow but don't really want to rush out there if all of the lifts take half an hour and the apres ski amounts to a mouldy bread roll and a warm beer.

thomo97, I have skied most of the major ski resorts in Slovakia. Another thing to consider going there that the resorts are too small for a longer stay.
Do not worry about the beer, this is something you can really trust there.

thomo, we live over in slovakia, and contrary to what kerekip says, there is more then enough to do for longer stays. Im talking only for Jasna, as this is by far the largest resort here. Yes some of the other "larger" resorts are infact a collection of 4/5 runs... but jasna is different and is why we have settled here.

jasna itself at night can be a lonely place, but its a sattelite of the city of liptovsky mikulas, as such that is where the best places to go at night are, as its a fully living breathing working city, and has more bars then i could write here in a day.

its definately worth an outing.
