Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Las Vegas

Going to Las Vegas on business in late Jan. Only 45 minutes away is Ski Las Vegas. Only a few lifts, under 1000 feet of vertical. Anyone been there/done that/tick? What's it like? Should I pack the boots and the garb and give it a whirl? I'll probably only have a day or two at the most before returning to Blighty so can't really consider stopping off anywhere else.

Last time I went, I was in Boston the week before so "stopped off" in Utah, and had my boots in Vegas, but the snow conditions and amount of runs meant the bars in 'Vegas won!!

err, can't actually say there was any planning or remembering involved, we just headed wherever the mood took us!!

Southern Utah (Brian Head & Elk Meadows) are about 3 hours away and will probably have better snow!

If you check the trail map, it ain't brilliant at Las Vegas ski resort

Bode Swiller, yes, I suspect you're right, it's more than 10 years ago now and can't quite remeber if that was 1 or 2 days travel, wish I paid more attention to the ski resorts in the area now.
