Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

CAIRNGORM MOUNTAIN PRE SEASON FORUM/MEETING

Bob Kinnaird the CEO at Cairngorm Mountain Ltd has offered this opportunity for us to meet with him and some others of his team on Saturday 9th December. The meeting will be in the Aonach room at the base station at 10.30am.

The idea of the meeting is to meet some of the people who run the operations on the hill, to hear about their proposed plans and the difficulties they face and to discuss with them the future of snowsports on Cairn Gorm and Scotland in general. Below is the message from Bob Kinnaird about the meeting.

"This would be great , we value the opportunity to discuss the forth coming season with some of our regular customers .

I would propose that this could be on an open house basis for any one who is interested in hearing about what we are planning and also understanding the operational challenges facing Scottish skiing in general. This would also be a really valuable opportunity to listen to ideas- they are always welcome.

This is an opportunity for us to engage in worthwhile dialogue with CML and anyone interested in Scottish snowsports should do their very best to get along to listen or join in.

The timing of the meeting also gives us all an opportunity to get out onto the hill for a few hours after the meeting. You never know we may just have enough snow by then!!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
Thought I'd bump this thread as a reminder for those who who are coming to this event.
If the mountain is open for snowsports this Saturday the start time will be moved to 3.30 so we have time to have a full day on the hill.
Also the venue is now the T bar above the Cas bar in the daylodge, because we are expecting a good crowd and need the space.

Topics for discussion are:

1. The future of the Ciste uplift.
2. The future of the Ciste Base Station.
3. Splitting the West Wall Poma.
4. The spread of uplift capacity.
5. A summit Tow.
6. Snowmaking.
7. Website and Marketing.
8. Catering Capacity and re-opening (possibly franchising) The Sheiling.
9. The re-development of the Daylodge and Base Station - (The Eden Project of
the North)
10. Ticket System and the Pricing Structure.
11. Formation of an official snowsports 'User Group' with appropriate links to
CML and a regular planned series of meetings through the year.
