At 1330 East coast time here in the USA, EpicSki seems to be dead. It was up several hours ago (albeit that was from home).
Anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?

"Network solutions is reporting an internet wide DNS problem. Some of the DNS servers are not responding. While I don't have everything on Network solutions Domain servers There are a few and depending on which dns servers their ISP uses it might be causing browsing problems."

On Tuesday, there were a few times I had no luck getting on EpicSki. I IM'd Phil and Cirque. both of them were on it with no trouble. Later in the day, Cirque IM"d me to ask if I was on because he couldn't get on. Within a few minutes Phil IM'd that he couldn't get on. All the while I was merrily posting and had no issues.
I am going to venture a guess that they are still working out some bugs with the newest upgrade of the site software.

I think many people need it, because it's a model example of good practice in acknowledging people's copyrights, and rights to intellectual property etc. - because there's widespread exploitation and malpractice on the internet.
Sorry ... you asked!

A legitimate non-commercial response to a question is not spam, Rob - be fair!

I think it is spamming, a point which was discussed ad nauseam in a recent 'Suggestions' thread. I've never suggested that I wouldn't include a link to the offer to snowHeads of discounted accommodation, but if I had said I would you can bet your bottom dollar that I'd stick to my word.

No, I have not met "the fox", but I will meet his aquaintance with a good measure of Epic Friends in December. He is my superior, you know? I must show some respect.

No, all it's likely to do is keep you sitting on a typing chair ... until frustrated ski legs break loose.
Don't know how Epic currently squares against the other US ski discussion sites. Has Powdermag regained its 'composure'? Have never bothered much with TGR - maybe my loss.
Does anyone have any comparative stats?

David Goldsmith, PM has never recovered from when they had their problems. TGR is big, Newschoolers probably has the largest membership, but has a fairly low signal to noise ratio.

All this discussion about different ski forums had me doing some surfing. I think I found a pic of boredsurfin, on TGR.
Can it be?
