I prefer a nice club atmosphere which by and large we have... not sure about losing that with too many 'randoms'....IMV

(On the whole we do discourage the attempted linking of "real names" to "snowHeads names" unless the snowHead does it themselves)

I suspect Mark is a lurker rather than an active contributor to Snowheads and this is probably his way of rewarding for an excellent and informative site.

Snowheads is about sharing, if he is just a lurker then I do hope Mark becomes an active contributor.
Afterall, why should that lucky bügger David Goldsmith get all the journalistic abuse to himself?

It does make this place sound a bit unwelcoming - "Don't forget to read the FAQ first".
I can't remember any new posters asking a question that's already been covered a dozen times before and being told "Use the search function you lazy tool". The only times it gets close to this are in response to the "How much snow will fall on Monday 17 Feb in Tigne and will it be light, fluffy powder or a bit wet and heavy" questions.

I wonder if he put that in because he was worried that snowHeads might get a big influx of people from the mention and he felt it might help if they were directed to the FAQs first?

Think it must be a typo - should read "Don't forget to read the T&C's first"
Sorry - another in joke...

|

Do you think he suggests looking at the FAQs because he is a user peed off at seeing the same subjects come round again and again? Haven't found them that useful myself -search works better...
I wonder if the site showed a related increase in traffic?
