parlor, I think that you probably have a point, they're both the obvious and somewhat unadventurous choice, although not necessarily a bad one.
I bought mine because I was skiing much more often and I'd enjoyed skiing on them when I'd had them as hire skis. I would probably buy something different these days.

No, this has been on my mind for a while now.
I agree with almost all of the comments. Kramer is closest to my reason for posting though. I was more interested in what it would produce.

At one time Yamaha used to make skis (my roomate used to ski on them when I was in Scotland). And maybe they still do.
I guess this appealed to people who liked to think of their skis as motorbikes, or grand pianos.

parlor I'm pretty sure the bmw x3 has nothing on the x5. Its made in austria, not germany and is pretty bad at everything really, including going off road.
I would think the b2 is more of a ford mondeo, a rep mobile. Its decent enough, but doesn't really excite. It does what it says on the tin, a ronseal quick drying wood stain of the ski world.

Wear The Fox Hat, Fraid I haven't. I'm always trying skis that my instructors say I SHOULD be skiing so now tend not to demo and just adapt my technique to the recommended ski. Usually works out fine.
