@boarder2020, it's a great film but only has about 12 turns
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I got across to Ridder, Kazakhstan for a 3 days cat boarding in Jan 24. Great snow, very dry almost Japan like. Pretty average terrain though, fairly tame with no steeps and not many features. Trees were fun. If you want long mellow runs with unbeatable dry powder then this won't disappoint. Does get a bit 'samey' though.
Best mix for a week would be a few days in the cat, a few days with snowmobile and guide/driver and a few days touring.
Accommodation was pretty good, Euro standard. Food in Kazakhstan (against a lot of perceptions) is amazing.
Report from Eastern Kyrgyzstan is that there's now a decentish base but still a little shaky in places. About 10cm last night. Storm starting tomorrow is forecast to bring in 20cm all falling at -15c or colder so some super dry light powder for anyone lucky enough to be out there. Overall decent start to the season.
Few guys have been skiing up at Too Ashuu where conditions seem to be really good already.

Has anyone here got any experience booking cat skiing or touring trips in Kazakhstan for individuals?
I'm thinking about trying to sort out a trip for myself during the 2025/6 Winter and I'm not sure if there any companies taking bookings for individuals rather than groups. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
