Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Which La Plagne village in summer?

I'm planning to ride the Etape du Tour (it's a road bike event) next summer. It finishes in La Plagne so I'm looking at Airbnbs in the area. Question is which of the La Plagne villages has the most life in summer, especially for restaurants?

Plagne Center, or 1800.

We stayed in Belle Plagne, which was close enough to Plagne Centre, which is where most activities are, about 15 minutes walk.
The gondola ran between the two but whether it still does I don’t know.
Definitely more restaurants in Plagne Centre.

The étape and the TDF are both finishing in Plagne villages, which has the accommodation and the outdoor space but ironically not that many restaurants. This past summer Plagne Centre had the most restaurants open (not all the restaurants open automatically in the summer). I guess Plagne Centre will be your best bet.

Thanks all, I'll have a look at Plagne Centre so.

@PeakyB, there isn't a gondola between Belle Plagne and Plagne Centre. You are either thinking of Bellecote, or perhaps were staying in Plagne Villages?

@ecureuil, you’re right. We stayed in the Hotel Deux Domaines in Belle Plagne. The gondola I was remembering was from Plagne Bellecote.

Actually quite a few summer activities were based in Bellecote. Many in Plagne Centre. Others of course further away, obviously white water rafting down in the valley (I think on a stretch between Landry and Aime).

La Plagne had the toughest ever mini golf course, designed on an alpine resort theme, I’ve ever played. I wonder if that’s still there, mocking people? snowHead
