Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Not just superfeet I guess, but all aftermarket insoles.
I realise I am way, way behind the times but to be honest before I had a ski boot fitting I'd have been skeptical about how much difference an insole could make, verging on snake oil suspicions i.e. Just one of those add ons to get a bit more profit.
How wrong was I.
It was suggested during the fitting that I could benefit from an insole with more heel support but should be fine with something off the shelf to try first, hence the superfeet (from memory I think it's the winter comfort). Other than an hour a week at lessons I won't get much chance to see how big a difference they make until I'm on holiday in December. It got me interested though and I went back the next day to get a pair for my everyday footwear, keen to see what kind of difference they could actually make.
Less than a week on I'm blown away by the difference (as much as you can be by an insole
). Heel pain and strain in my calves I'd been experiencing is reducing everyday, longer walks are complete comfort, I was about to self refer for physio advice until this was brought up during the fitting.
The only downside was the squeaking noise that I put up with for a week... until I seen a recommendation online to rub some candle wax over the plastic part of the insole, now it's totally silent.
Not an ad, not selling anything, just a heads up for anyone as clueless as I was that the relatively small amount extra might be worth every penny!
