Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sölden in November

So I couldn't wait for the season and I've booked a solo week in Sölden from Nov. 11 to 18. Anybody got any experience of skiing there in Nov. ? Any info ,tips , gratefully sought. Expensive skipass, considering time of year and it's that DYNAMIC system that has taken over sporting and concert tix sales. Eh oh!

The Audi FIS skiing world cup is opening there on 26/27th of this month. The ski pass also gives you access to Obergurgl/Hochgurgl as well (Just jump on the bus, 20 minute journey, free with your ski pass), and the 007 Elements exhibition at the top of the Gaislachkogl mountain. You've got the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers to ski on, if there's not much snow lower down, and on Fridays, from midday, everyone heads up the Giggijoch lift for a massive DJ set and party. Throw in a cracking apres and nightlife as well, and you should have an excellent time.

Yeah, but not recently. However I might be in Sölden at the start of the season - early November - if the snow's decent. The glaciers are sufficient for a couple of days entertainment; I'm not sure what to expect from the rest that early. I tend not to worry about ticket costs - I either want to ride, or I don't.. the cost's just what it is. I mean, if you're into saving money, then it's probably better to stick with package tours in-season.

Cheers guys. Looking at webcams and weather forecasts, the snow is not there, although the FIS is on. Temps look high.
My aprés ski conga-leading adventures were over BEFORE I started skiing, so I'm happy to hear about it in the lift the next morning. Yeah, the cost is what it is....but the 6 day pass is only available as the Otzal pass so not sure what benefit from that with no snow....yet.
