Brothers just booked car hire, I think he’s booked the French side which is the exact opposite of my instructions!
The address the booking has is

Says remain on Swiss side of airport and go to rental counters then jump on a bus to P51 car park and the rental cabin?

Yes, I think so too. Though the "rental cabin" is a new one on me. But there's no jumping on buses involved on the French side; the cars are right under the terminal.

1218 is not a French postcode - the French codes are 5 digits, eg 73550, with the first 2 reflecting the department number, and the last 3 the commune

I think all my other bookings has an address that includes Cointrin - this just looked very different
