Poster: A snowHead
|
We are currently high school engineering students researching ski boots, aiming to innovate the "walk mode" feature some boots have. This is a cursory poll simply to ask if the people of Snowheads how comfortable they feel walking in ski boots vs gym shoes on a flat surface. This is a revised survey based on the feedback we received in the other thread. We included some more information in a response on the prior thread. The following google form shouldn't take more than a minute to complete, thank you.
Please only respond if you use alpine (downhill) ski boots

Sorry, gym shoes are what are worn by gymnasts for floor and vault. They consist of a canvas upper and a rubber sole (not to be confused with rubber soul) secured to the foot by elastic. They are much thinner and lighter than plimsoles. You can feel every grain of sand beneath them. Their intention is to improve grip not comfort.

I suspect the orignal post meant trainers, but we should respond exactly to what is requested not what we think is requested.
