Thanks but sorry can't answer Question 3 . I really want to say yes I feel comfortable. Not more or less comfortable. Of course there's a difference but I walk all over in my boots perfectly comfortably
Do you feel comfortable walking with your ski boots on?
*
Yes, I feel more comfortable than walking without ski boots.
No, I feel less comfortable than walking without ski boots.
Neutral, I haven't noticed a difference.

^^ Not a good question. My boots are comfortable to walk in, but not neccessarily more than walking with out them.
Dont over complicate questions

I also am confused by Question 3 - walking in ski boots is more comfortable than walking bare foot in the snow but obviously not as comfortable as my snow boots...

No thanks. Don't want any more mechanisms on my boots that might fail and feck up the boot for skiing.

@Snowstep, ummm, you should be aware that some boots have a rudimentary walk mode intended to ameliorate walking to the pub, and there are also boots for ski touring that can have really quite sophisticated movements - and the two forms are generally really quite different.

Yea, sorry but gave up at the massively loaded question 3 where you're clearly trying to dictate the outcome of the survey with the questions.
Are my ski boots "more comfortable than walking without ski boots"? Well what are we comparing that to? Are they more comfortable than my normal shoes? Obviously not as my normal shoes are designed JUST for walking in or my fire side slippers shuffling between chair a kettle to make another cup of tea. Are they more comfortable than walking in snow/arouns a ski resort bare foot? Well they keep my feet warm and dry and stop other people crushing my foot with their ski boots.
It would be better to ask the same question by have a similar set of options as question 3, so a range from "Very uncomfortable" to "As comfortable as any other shoes". To that my answer would be a "4 out of 5" - clearly they aren't as comfy as a pair of shoes design to be comfy but neither do I have any issues walking in them. Given the choice of walking to the gondola in normal shoes/carrying my ski boots and having to have my normal shoes in my backpack all day or just walking to the gondola in my ski boots I don't think I'd even consider the former and be out the door in ski boots before anyone could suggest it.

Walk mode is the bane of my life when teaching beginners. Every week without fail someone suddenly can't do what they could earlier In the week despite asking at the start of every session if they have walk mode engaged.

I’m not completing this survey for 3 reasons:
1/ the sampling method is questionable. Sampling from a forum of keen and probably very experienced skiers will get a different result than from, say, beginners at a local indoor centre.
2/ there doesn’t appear to have pilot run, otherwise the final question wouldn’t have appeared as it is.
3/ the final asks to compare walking in ski boots to walking barefoot without actually stating over what terrain. Is it on the snow or indoors in the bedroom.
Sorry @Snowstep, go back to the start and construct your survey more carefully.

I answered, but was second guessing what you actually meant.
Quite easy to do if you are able to switch your brain on.

I filled it out for you as I know how difficult it can be to get this sort of stuff. I just answered your questions and didn't second guess your motives.

Hey guys thank you for your responses. We did forget mention that we are high school engineering students and do not have access to some of the resources mentioned by the responses. Thank you so much for all of your feedback, we reworded some of the questions and even added some new ones, and we do plan on sending this out to more websites/forums (with varying skiing experience levels) other than this one. Once again thank you all for the feedback.
P.S. We did really like the ski boot heely idea, it seems hilarious.
