Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Urgent Help! La Thuile Ski School Contact

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm reaching out for help as we're currently unable to book our flights or pay the deposit to Planibel Hotel due to the Ski School being closed until November thus not responding to emails or answering phone calls.

Since group lessons don’t start on Saturdays, we’ll need 8 ski instructors in the mornings for our group of 16 children and 11 adults.

If I’m unable to confirm by Thursday that the Ski School can provide 8 instructors, we’ll have to switch our plans and go to El Tarter in Andorra, where group lessons start on Saturday.

I actually love EL Tarter but we are going to ski March 1st to March 5th and believe we should get a better chance of snow at La Thuile.

We would be incredibly grateful if a fellow Snowhead could lend us a hand with this.

Thank you so much in advance!

Unfortunately we haven’t been able to get hold of the Ski School and the private Ski Instrutors were not able to help as we need 8 instructors for our group.

We will have to move forward with EL Tarter in Andorra and pray for snow.

Thank you everyone that helped us!

@portugal82, Please don’t worry too much there should be plenty of ski instructors knocking around at that time of year . If I was you I would email the La Thuile tourist office ask their advice I’m sure they will help .They are open .

@Rob Mackley, called La Thuile Tourism office and said I need to wait until the ski school opens in late October.

It’s to risky to pay the deposit to Planibel Hotel and book our flights without any certainty that we will get 8 ski instructors every morning.

@portugal82, the joys of being team leader . You’ll be fine that time of year in the Pyrenees should be peak snow depth at the start of March .

@Rob Mackley, very true.

Most of the group are children and beginners so EL Tarter could actually be a better option that La Thuile.

However, snow quality on March 1st should be better at La Thuile and the Alps are a step up from the Pyrenees.

Hoping to get a positive reply of another freelance instructor at La Thuile trying to help us out but it’s practically impossible booking ski instructors at La Thuile before the only available Ski School opens in November.
