Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ben's Buses/transfers GENEVA-Flaine Terraces d'Helios

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all
We've booked flights and accommodation through Sunweb but need to organise transfers. Ben's Buses looks good value/good timings. Are they reliable? They stop at Terraces D'Eos and it looks like a 20 minute zig zag walk to D'Helios, with hefty luggage. Does anyone know if there's a short cut? Any tips/ ideas appreciated.
Thank you!

I've not used them, but Ben's Buses generally get good review and seem to fulfil their offering ok.

Should be a local free in village bus that runs around the slightly more outlying accommodation in Flaine to get from one to the other in your plan.

I know it stops at Eos and routes around the nearby accommodation to eventually drop at the lifts for skier access and runs throughout the day.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Another vote for Ben’s Bus. They really do try but like every other company if the weather is bad it can go wrong, which is the reason behind most bad reviews.

I’ve used them, provided good service as described. Booked again for January. Think it’s worth paying the extra few £ for flexi booking which covers cancellations, flight changes and delays.

I think those two accommodations are very close together?

Hubby stayed at d’helios last year for boys trip and is going back in January. (Nice accommodation for that trip rolling eyes Laughing )

I would recommend bens bus. Used them for another route (Grenoble-l2A) though there are lots of companies transfer to flaine at reasonable cost from Gva

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

As an alternate suggestion - depending on how many of you are travelling a private transfer might be comparable (particularly for relatively short transfers like Flaine) - we used 'Action Transfers' for Avoriaz for a family of 4. The website is a bit clunky as I think they are mainly used by tour operators (I know Heidi use them) but prices were really good as they just charge a set price irrespective of number of passengers... Also a good option if you are travelling mid-week as the busses are sometimes weekend only

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much
