Hi. I hope I have put this in the right place. I have a single room booked in Chalet MarMau - Courchevel La Tania, Courchevel La Tania for 1 week. It's with Le Ski. I cannot go but haver paid the deposit. I can change the name to someone else at no cost. This is the link to the chalet.

Its £887. It's a great week to ski there as it's quiet, and the snow in Courchevel is probably the best in the 3 valleys given its aspect and shelter. Its in a great positon for the whole 3V- Over to Meribel in two lifts. . It's the usual chaste board with all food and wine included. Single rooms are quite hard to come by and thats a pretty good price all in all.
Does anyone want to take it from me? Le Ski are happy top change the name if so.

Yes it’s shame I can’t go !! Are you interested ? (Its should have read chalet board obvs!). Nice week that. it was an amazing week last year. not to busy either. significantly less cost also !

Why cant LeSki just refund you, there's nearly 3 months to go for them to resell it? See this kind of stuff an lot - making problems that don't exist just to extract money off people - the modern way.
Also shame the flights are restricted to Gatwick, would LeSki not permit changing flights to their only other UK departure airport Manchester? That would perhaps increase your potential of selling the holiday? Why's Edinburgh not offered - Jet2 fly EDI to Chambery.
Appreciate the dilemma, I was booked with Hofnar a few seasons ago, had to cancel because of covid with French authorities suddenly stopping travel to France for Brits and the chalet kept my deposit and Jet2 insurance wouldn't pay anything out so burned £400+ and no skiing  .
If you took insurance could you claim for cancellation depending on why you cant go.
