I’m looking at buying a new ski jacket for this winter and would love a cool jacket to replace what I have. Is it possible to buy an instructor style jacket or perhaps one from a resort?

A few years ago there seemed to be some jackets around styled to look a bit like the red and white ESF jackets. Always fun to watch the less-than-Godlike skiers in them, from the chairlift.

 not a wind up at all.Ive been using a Italian ski team jacket for a few years and love it and just fancy something different to replace it. That’s why I said an instructors style jacket and not an instructors jacket!
What I mean is something like a jacket with the name of a resort, not one with ESF or whatever on it!

Maybe just go for something that feels right for you doesn't have to be instructor style to stand out on the slopes.

@maddness, I think we've all missed the obvious solution... become an instructor and get given the de facto jacket. Bingo! Mission accomplished and our work is done here.

Kappa do some nice stuff that sounds up your alley. The had some really nice kit in the Folie Douce in Meribel last year. FD have new jackets every year with the resort on, with their logo though. We have a term to describe some people from a certain end of the social spectrum that usually wear track suit style clothes after 1pm, once they have taken their pyjamas off.

@maddness, you can buy a replica sci school Jacket for £1000 from a ski school shop but it would be daft To wear it in the locality. You can get the fake “I ski for Norway” jackets
From Helly Hansen.
Or you can go full Bogner.
Our ski school jackets are not allowed to be taken from the shop let alone taken to another ski area.

I suppose my first mistake was using the word cool to describe a jacket.
I’m a middle-aged man, nothing would make me cool.
My current ski jacket is almost 10 years old and has been repaired twice and is faded and looks wrecked and I was looking for something interesting to replace it with.

The Chinese skimo team are training where I work at the moment and the coach gave me one of their training uniforms. I’m about twice the size of these Chinese guys and my kick turns suck.
Happy to donate if prominent moose knuckle is part of the look required.
