Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

seeking venice hotel recommendations

Heading to nw Italy for xmas, but considering going via Venice as a treat . We would have a couple of nights in Venice on the way out, and a night in a hotel close to the airport on the way back.

I know a number of s/h's stay in Venice before/after the BB's so hoping for recommendations for modest hotels with good access to Venice for a couple of nights, and also for ones close to both Treviso and Marco polo ( not determined airline yet)

cheers

I stayed here -> https://www.booking.com/Share-4SmgT2J for a night after the BB last year. It was a 10 min walk from Marco Polo Airport, the bus outside runs into Venice every 15mins or so.

We stayed in Venice for 2 nights in December 2022 before heading to Arabba & looked for a hotel by a canal & easy to get to from the airport, found the Leone Hotel (called Filu when we stopped).
Great location, you take the ferry from the airport, the orange line across the lagoon & this small hotel is right by the Guglia ferry stop. Would call it a modest hotel, not cheap, but reasonable & happy with our choice, on Booking.com.

@nickH, I’ve stayed in and around Venice loads of times.

What is your budget per person per night.

I’ve been in £50 in tessera (usually £90) to £100 in Venice to a spectacular venue I don’t want to say because u had it on a 75% off deal.

I’ll post tomorrow

After the PBB this year we stayed at Maison Venezia https://maisonvenezia.hotelinvenice.com/ . Would recommend.
Location wise it is close to the Fundamente Nuove stop for easy access to the airport transfer (so short distance to lug skis) but an easy walk to everything else.

We stayed in a beautiful hotel in Santa Croce on the Grand Canal after the notthe10thBB, at an absolute bargain price. Best room too. San Cassiano something or other.

I had been wondering if you could remember the details, as I can't. A great location too, fairly central but also easy for the airport. I remember thinking it was a great find. My own hotel experiences are from too long ago to be useful.

I think it was this one, I stayed there one night after @Hells Bells had recommended it.

@Hells Bells, I've booked this one for a night after the 2025 BB, perhaps the same one?

@Alastair Pink, that was it, amazing location, and amazing rooms. I think @harrisontherabbit recommended it to us having stayed there the previous year.
