Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all,

I have set my mind to going to Serre Chevalier Jan 2025 as a solo traveller. Flights already booked to Turin. I have emailed 2 hotels, l’Europe and Mont Thabor but have not received a response. I am happy to book an apartment but would prefer to stay in a hotel on this occasion. Would those familiar with Serre Chevalier be able to recommend any alternative hotel options for a solo traveller. Thanks.

L'Europe is the home of a Snowheads bash and our favourite hostess @Sucette. I guess they may be on their holidays at this time of year, but call the hotel as Sarah can speak a word or two of Anglais (she is snowHead )

@Erewegoagain, Europe is probably busy with mid-Summer guests right now, but maybe follow up the email with a phone call at the end of August if you haven't heard back from them. There will be no language problems.

@Erewegoagain, Oooo hello ! sucette here !! snowHead sorry I missed your post/email, thanks for tagging me @adithorp, wink we have been snowed under (!) with summer guests, just winding down now into the quieter month of September.
Yes we would be delighted to welcome you to our humble little hotel, snowHeads guests are always the best !! If you're a solo skier, you should definitely think about joining one of the bashes... an awesome way to meet a fantastic bunch of goons... errrr people !! Toofy Grin
I'm actually doing a back to Uni drop off tomorrow with my daughter, but if you could phone or PM me over the weekend we can have a nice chat !

Quick update. Spoke with Sarah at l’Europe but unfortunately they are full the week I wanted (last week of Jan). Nevermind, have booked an apartment but will drop in to say hello and have a drink or three. Thanks for all the responses. Just need to sort a transfer from Turin. Right, now to sort Tignes for March Eh oh!
