When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Getting to Cervinia from Turin Airport

We're booked to go to Cervinia over Christmas. Flying in on Monday 23rd and out on Friday 27th. We were hoping to ski both those days also as we fly in early and out late. Family of 4 (kids are 13 and 11).

I've been floored by the transfer costs of around £500 return. When we've flown previously, we've always got public transport, but it appears that this isn't easy to do for Cervinia. I'm now looking at car hire as that is significantly cheaper.

Any ideas or recommendations for alternative ideas or companies to use?

For such a short trip car hire seems a no-brainer. Transfers cost the same for 2 days or 2 weeks. Car hire cheap in Turin, compared to Geneva etc
