Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Last minute family break advice

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi, we are planning on a family trip this coming weekend. Have flights to Geneva that are cheap pencilled in, but open to ideas.
Seems lots good late snow and plenty resorts worth going to still. 2 young kids (5 and Cool,’ never been skiing and so want to give them a taster of it. Wife also a beginner.
Any websites any recommend for such a late deal? Or seen a great deal?
Any resorts anyone recommend as I’m thinking a morning skiing/teaching them on simple slopes followed by afternoon family activities like swimming etc
Any help always appreciated, always amazed how helpful this forum is!

The snow in most lower resorts is not great. Many are closed.

@St_johnse, if you're flying next weekend, so are looking at something starting on 6th April, the obvious solution would be the Family Bash. It looks very much like there's still space. The snow is still good in Val Thorens and you'd have other families to advise, socialise with, etc.

Sunweb is a good shout for a late deal. Tignes or VT will give you best snow at most levels.

We had our first family ski trip last week to Saint Francoise Longchamps, 11month old and 3.5year old in tow, resort worked well and has been snowing there last few days. There were a few bare patches and closed runs low down but majority of area still good cover. The ESF were great with my son and plenty of easy runs to glide along in the afternoon(only English speaking one in class). Just over an hour in taxi from Chambery airport and bus + train back the way worked well for us
