Poster: A snowHead

As in, every time you use your phone to visit snow heads you have to put in your user name and password?
Drives me nuts. Even happens when I refresh a page I've been recently reading.
Doesn't happen on laptop at all.
Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

For me, on either android phone of Windows laptop, a log in last a certain time (not sure what, hour or two at any rate) before it lapses and has to be done again. But my system fills it in, takes milliseconds, not something I fret about!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Nope. Works fine for me. On both Linux and Android. Can't remember the last time I had to log in on either.
Someone else posted something recently about issues with mac and/or IOS.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

No. It's not really going to be an OS thing as much as your browser or your browser settings.
You can set browsers up to clear cookies on exit, for example, easily enough, if that's what you want, but then you'll clear your login. You may have a plugin doing that, or have set it. Or whatever. By default, that won't happen on most common browsers at least.

Same for me.
My guess is it is persistent cookie problem, as I use chrome on all devices that sync. So it probably doing something in the background & not liking me swapping between devices on the same cached data.

you can also whitelist specific sites.
that's generally what I do. clear all cookies on exit, but have the key sites I use regularly (eg snowheads) whitelisted so they remember the cookies. that way I don't accrue a bazillion cookies etc. over time, and only keep the handful I care about.
Using Brave browser on both Android and Linux, both configured the same way.

It's not been a problem for me in the past but it has been a few times in the last week.
As the Americans say: go figure.
